Capcom's insanely popular franchise heads to Nintendo's insanely popular console...

Following a massively successful Japanese release on Saturday that saw it ship over a million copies on day one – a record for a third-party Wii title according to Capcom – Monster Hunter Tri will make its way to Europe and the US at some point in early 2010 the publisher has confirmed today.

Capcom will also roll out the title at Gamescom in a couple of weeks, where attendees will be able to sample the phenomena that has spawned sales totalling over 10 million units – 3.5 million alone of Monster Hunter Portable 2G on the PSP.
