The flight-action Wii exclusive based on Mamoru Oshii's anime feature is headed to these parts next year

Sky Crawlers: Innocent Aces is due for release in February courtesy of Namco Bandai, and was developed by the Japanese publisher's internal Project Aces studio. The game promises to stay true to its roots as well, with over 30 minutes of anime cinematics complementing the arcade aerial action.

“Players can handle the game like a real aircraft using the Wii Nunchuk as a joystick”

According to producer Daisuke Uchiyama the control system enables players to "handle the game like a real aircraft using the Wii Nunchuk as a joystick." The story meanwhile takes place in a war-free world in which "corporations stage fictional war 'shows' on a massive scale to make people truly feel at peace."

Er, right. One for anime fans then?
