GC09: Monster Hunter Multiformat?

We asked Capcom Producer Ryozo Tsujimoto whether Monster Hunter Tri might come to other platforms if the Wii version proves a success in the West

"We haven’t thought about it yet," said the producer on bringing the franchise to the PS3 and Xbox 360. "We’ve been asked that a lot. As creators, we want to be challenged."

Microsoft and Sony console-owning would-be monster hunters may be in luck though. "If that challenge would be worthwhile for us to work on in the future, then probably," added Tsujimoto. "Having said that, at the moment, I like working with the Nunchuk and the Wiimote quite a lot. Actually, a lot of the R&D guys told me that you can’t go back to using the classic controller because it feels rigid. We’re very happy with Tri. If there’s a new challenge on a different console, we’ll consider [it]."

“If there's a new challenge on a different console, we'll consider it”
